09 — Adopt a tree

Adopt a damson tree. Follow its seasons.

Adopt one of our Lyth Valley damson trees for a year. You’ll get a name tag on your tree, a jar of its jam in September, and an open invitation to come and pick from it.

A tree with your name on it, not another thing to keep in a drawer.

11 — Kind words

Notes from the gate.

The best farm shop in Cumbria, and I’ve tried most of them. Come for the bread, stay for the tart.

We pick strawberries here every June. My children think it’s the best day of the year, and they might be right.
