Lyth Valley damsons have grown on these limestone slopes for three hundred years. Ours come from forty old trees on the bank behind the shop, and they’re at their best from late August, when the bloom is still on the skin. Too sharp to eat straight from the tree for most people, they’re perfect for jam, gin, crumbles and our damson & almond tart.
Come and see what’s ready.
The shop opens at nine, the kettle’s on by ten, and the fields are open for picking most days from June to October.
